Join us in community to celebrate and welcome the return of the plants in our annual: Spring Medicine Making class & Wild Foods Feast!
There is nothing like hand crafting your own herbal medicines in community with others.
This is an herbal medicine making experience taught in communion with our plant kin.
Let’s come together to welcome the return of the plants, taste the wide array of herbal medicines, learn about the plants and their gifts that can be made at the start of spring to help our bodies wake up and shift in the transition from Winter to Spring. This sets our bodies and spirits up for success for the whole year!
Some plants we may work with are: Nettle, Yellow Dock, Dandylion, Cleavers, Violets, Pine, Catnip, Lemonbalm, Fennel, Motherwort, Wild Lettuce, Hemlock (not internally), Burdock, Malva.
In this class you can expect to:
Connect with the local Spring plant allies
Learn Spring plant identification
Experience working with the plants for Spiritual, Emotional & Mental healing support
Go over the medicinal, emotional, & spiritual benefits of the Spring plants
Review the basics of medicine making
Learn how to eat your medicine with Wild Foods
Make medicines to last the year!
Medicines we may make:
Spring Multivitamin Vinegar
Burdock Achy Joint Compress
Dandylion Electrolyte Recharge
Yellow Dock Iron Replenisher
Herbal Honey
Cleaver Juice Lymph Cleanser
and more!
*Because this is an earth-centered herbal class, we work with the plants however they are on the day of our class. We never know what kind of season it’s going to be- the date certain plants will be up and ready, how abundant or scarce certain plants will be each season, if they will be in flower yet- and the unfolding of this is anchored in the trust of our Earth and plant allies! It’s always perfect and exactly what we need for the year regardless of what we think we need or want! This way of interacting with the plants and earth is timeless and true, and is a great practice for life.
